The Russian Orloff jewel was acquired by Prince Orloff from a trader named Khojeh Raphael. Precious stone is "a young ladies closest companion" as well as just as respected by men of all time. Orloff is the planets third biggest cut precious stone. It got its name since it was skilled to Catherine II of Russia, by her ex-partner Grigori Orloff in 1775. The precious stone is regularly known as Scepter jewel.

There is a platitude that the 189.62 carats jewel was once studded as one of the eyes of the symbol Sheringham. This symbol was arranged in the sanctuary of Brahma in southern India. The anonymous precious stone had changed hands a few times and in no time is settled in Russia. Sovereign Orloff on his path over to Russia bought this astonishing Indian stone to blessing it to his significant other Catherine II as a token of his love. Catherine II, in the wake of naming it, joined it in a staff known as the "Magnificent Scepter" outlined by C.n. Troitinski in 1784. The Orloff is situated at the highest point of the staff.
